Thank you for your interest in becoming an ERDT Host Employer, giving our exchange students an opportunity for exchange students to experience U.S. culture in the workplace.

In the following process, you will:

  • Review ERDT and U.S. Department of State policies on your role as a host employer

  • Take a quick quiz on these policies, and agree to follow these policies

  • Complete a quick application, which will give ERDT the info we need in order to approve you as an employer

  • Complete a job offer for each position (and housing plan, if applicable).

Before you start, please ensure you have the following items:

  • Your Employer Identification Number (EIN or FEIN)

  • A copy of your current Worker’s Compensation Certificate

  • A copy of your current Business License

  • All of your business’s owners’, officers’, and managers' names, telephone numbers, email addresses, street addresses, and job titles (this is a U.S. Dept of State requirement)

  • Any housing documentation (lease, sublease, rules, payment plan, etc) that you will have the students sign

  • 10 photos of last year’s housing (exterior and interior) that show this year’s students what to expect.

  • Access to your email (we recommend that you ensure your spam settings are set so that emails from emily@erdtworkandtravel.org and noreply@hanover.com never go to spam.)

If you have everything ready, we estimate that it will take you about 20 minutes to complete everything.

ERDT will send the documentation that you create to the students overseas, who will use it to complete their applications. Once their applications are complete, you will receive an email notification to log into your account and confirm the placements. We will then send the students the paperwork they need to go to the embassy to get their visas.
