Thank you for your interest in becoming an ERDT Host Employer and providing an opportunity for exchange students to experience U.S. culture in the workplace.
In the following process, you will:
Review ERDT and U.S. Department of State policies on your role as a host employer
Take a quick quiz on these policies, and agree to follow these policies
Complete a quick application, which will give ERDT the info we need in order to approve you as an employer
Complete a job offer for each location and position you are offering
If you are offering housing, you’ll complete a housing plan for each unit you are renting, and upload photos.
Before you start, please ensure you have the following items. If you do not, do not start:
Your Employer Identification Number (EIN or FEIN)
All of your business’s owners’, officers’, and managers' names, telephone numbers, email addresses, street addresses, and job titles (this is a U.S. Dept of State requirement)
If you provide housing:
Photos of all rooms, plus one of the exterior
Any housing documentation (lease, sublease, rules, payment plan, etc) that you will have the students sign
Access to your email (we recommend that you ensure your spam settings are set so that emails from emily@erdtworkandtravel.org and noreply@hanover.com never go to spam.)
If you have everything ready, we estimate that it will take you about 20 minutes to complete everything.
ERDT will send the documentation that you create to the student(s), who will read, sign and upload it into their applications. Once their applications are complete, you will receive an email notification to log into your account and confirm the placements. We will then send the students the paperwork they need to go to the embassy to get their visas.
You will also be asked to provide your current Worker’s Compensation Certificate and Business License prior to the participants’ arrival.
